Matthew Guerrieri is a writer, pianist, and composer. He writes on music regularly for The Boston Globe and NewMusicBox, and his articles have also appeared in Vanity Fair, Playbill, Musical America, and Slate magazines. He is responsible for the classical music weblog Soho the Dog. A native of Illinois, he graduated from DePaul and Boston Universities, and was a Composition Fellow at the Tanglewood Music Center.
